William Carter is about to graduate in journalism, and all he wants is his big break: a scoop powerful enough to make his name as an investigative reporter. But the opportunity doesn’t come from where he expected.

Strange dreams haunt him. Seven witches, forgotten rituals, voices whispering through veils of blood and fog. One rainy night, after staying late at university, William boards a bus he’s never seen before… bound for a place not found on any map: Solfernum.

Solfernum is a broken world. A dark reflection of ours, where magic has been buried and time twists around pain. In this place, nothing is trustworthy: not the paths, not the people, not even your own heart.

Trapped in a world beyond logic, William must uncover the secrets behind the witches, the rituals, and the horrors surrounding him, and maybe even the truth about himself. But the way out isn’t just built on clues. It’s built on choices. Connections. Feelings. And each choice comes with a cost.

The Hero of Solfernum is a BL Visual Novel that blends psychological horror and dark romance, featuring emotional routes, complex characters, and endings that follow no formula, only truth. In Solfernum, love can be a beacon... or a curse.

The first VN of Crimson Lines!

Crimson Lines is an independent studio dedicated to creating engaging, dark, and emotionally intense BL Visual Novels. With a focus on psychological horror, dark romance, and decadent fantasy worlds, our works explore the thin lines between love and obsession, desire and destruction, light and shadow.

Our goal is to tell stories that not only stir emotions but also immerse players in dense atmospheres, unpredictable plots, and complex relationships between male characters that defy convention. Each narrative is marked by meaningful choices, immersive soundtracks, and carefully crafted artwork. All to deliver unique and unforgettable experiences.

For us, choosing isn’t about winning. It’s about feeling, living, and accepting the natural consequences of every step.

We discard old route maps, “good” or “bad” endings, and the idea that there’s only one right path. Here, there are no mistakes, only different roads. Each choice reveals something new, a hidden facet, a truth that only appears when you seek it with sincerity.

There are no promises of redemption, nor guarantees of tragedy. Instead, there are stories shaped by the player. Personalized, blended endings, neither happy nor sad, but authentic. An ending can be as soft as a whisper... or as sharp as a cut. Both are valid. Both are true.

You won’t need a walkthrough for our games. Because this journey isn’t about unlocking “the best ending.” It’s about finding yours.


About the project

We’re experimenting with this game. That’s why, for now, the project is free. In the future, we intend to continue offering free content, but with possible monetization options, depending entirely on your feedback.

This project is still very short, as it serves as a pilot. Future chapters are planned to be longer and more developed. We’ll gather and consider all the feedback you leave in the comments to improve the game moving forward.

If the project fails to gain engagement, there won’t be new chapters. But we truly hope you enjoy it, we have big plans for the future, and everything depends on you.

I absolutely love gay erotica since I’m gay myself. The game’s story is really well-crafted, and the AI-generated images look impressive. However, if someone doesn’t know how to draw and can’t afford commissions, my advice is to learn to draw! There are tons of great tutorials available, and with some practice, anyone can improve quickly and create amazing art. Don’t let a lack of skills or money stop you from bringing your ideas to life!

That's important to talk about. Using generative AI for this, is not something I'm proud of. But was the only option for this game. In future, and god knows when, things are going to be different.

I ended up in the bedroom and in the cabin. Is there an option to actually go with (or find) the helpful demon that I haven't found yet or are those two places the only ones so far?

There are only those two, the chapter one is meant to be really short. The next will be longer! Azariel only appear at the middle of the chapter one. He may come back on future!

Ah ok (btw, the cabin was an unexpected surprise.  I was expecting a game of cat and mouse until you reached civilization (or former civilization such as a ruined town).)  I enjoyed what's there so far.  I don't doubt the protagonist will figure out where he is and how he got there - he's a journalist after all.  Whether he'll believe it is another story.  I don't envy his journey.

Thank you! The next update will also add things to chapter one, not on story but in elements. Also, there are bugs i've indentified, but since are minor bugs, I'll leave it to version 2, which will come with chapter two.

This pilot is already a success, so there will be new things in the next weeks.
